The City of Indio will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, December 14th from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. brought to you by Riverside County. Commercial waste will not be accepted. 

Acceptable items:
- Used motor oil and used oil filters
- Antifreeze and hydraulic fluids
- Aerosol cans
- Batteries (personal, car, dry cell)
- Paint (latex, oil), flammables/caustic bases
- Corrosive acids
- Poisons
- Fertilizers
- 4 ft. and 8 ft. fluorescent light tubes
- Mercury vapor CVLs
- Pool chemicals
- Medication (controlled substances cannot be accepted)

Non-Acceptable Items:
- Business/non-profit waste 
- Containers larger than 5 gallons
- Ammunition 
- Radioactive waste 
- Explosives

*All participants MUST remain in their vehicles.
